Jack Grealish has moved a step closer to leaving Manchester City this summer with clubs in Italy and Saudi Arabia currently at the front of the queue, sources have told Football Insider.

The England international was left out of Pep Guardiola’s squad for their final day trip to Fulham after the 29-year-old told friends he was being “frozen out” by the club.

Football Insider understands Napoli and two Saudi Pro League clubs have registered their interest in signing the former Aston Villa man.

The newly-crowned Serie A champions are keen to add to their existing pool of British players, which includes Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour, but could struggle to match Grealish’s current wages.

A three-time Premier League winner, the Birmingham-born winger is understood to earn £350,000-a-week under the terms of his current six-year deal, which has two years left to run.

Season of frustration fuels Grealish Man City exit talk

In a Football Insider exclusive last week, Grealish dropped a bombshell by telling friends he was being edged towards the exit door at the Etihad Stadium because his manager wanted him to look for another club.

Ahead of next year’s FIFA World Cup, the number 10 is keen to avoid another season of frustration after playing just 1,521 minutes for City, including only seven Premier League starts.

With the player now at a crossroads in his career, he is expected to switch clubs sooner rather than later, with numerous clubs previously linked to the £100 million man.

Cross-city rivals Manchester United were thought to be at the table before last week’s Europa League final defeat to Tottenham ruled them out of a place in the Champions League next season.

Everton were also touted as a possible destination for Grealish, but a move to Italy or Saudi Arabia now appears more likely.

Grealish reacts to De Bruyne farewell

Another star on his way out of Manchester City is Kevin De Bruyne, who unlike Grealish was given one final chance to say his goodbyes to the City faithful at Fulham.

The Belgian star played the final five minutes of his team’s 2-0 win in West London, and later posted a heartfelt message via a series of images waving goodbye to the away fans, alongside a caption that read: “The Last Dance.”

The post received reactions from team-mates, including Grealish and Phil Foden.
