West Ham are destined to have a busy summer after such a frustrating season.
The Hammers ended the campaign on a positive note with a 3-1 win against Ipswich Town, with attention now turning to the transfer window.
This is likely to see Graham Potter put his stamp on his Irons side after coming in after the closure of the winter market at the London Stadium.
Looking ahead to the summer, the main priority for the English head coach as he looks to build a side ready for an improved Premier League season.

West Ham summer transfer priority emerges
There is no doubt that a number of positive signings will be needed in East London after what was a surprisingly poor year.

After bringing in highly anticipated signings like Luis Guilherme and Jean-Clair Todibo, there were hopes of a positive campaign.
The exit of David Moyes didn’t bring the change that fans hoped, and ultimately ended with the Hammers finishing 14th in the table.
As a result, Potter is bound to have a telling impact on his squad this summer with Martin Allen backing the Irons to sign a striker.
The former Brentford and Leicester City manager believes a replacement for Niclas Fullkrug will be the main target in the upcoming window.
Speaking exclusively to West Ham Zone, Allen said: “They’ve got to be looking for a decent forward.
“Right now, Potter doesn’t have a striker who he’s picking. He clearly doesn’t think much of Fullkrug, who they paid a lot of money for.
“He’s 32, he’s not playing even though they haven’t got a first-team centre-forward. He’s still not getting in the team. That tells you what Potter thinks of him.
“The number one priority has to be getting a decent centre-forward, who can lead the line, have a bit of pace to get in behind and a good age.
“*All those boxes have to be ticked before someone signs for West Ham.*“

Fullkrug replacement wanted at West Ham
There was plenty of excitement when the Germany international was brought in by Julen Lopetegui and Tim Steidten in the summer.
Coming off the back of a Euros campaign and a Champions League final appearance, the striker looked like a real coup for the Irons.
That isn’t how it has turned out with injuries playing a key role while Fullkrug has voiced his frustration towards Potter and his teammates recently.

As a result, it could make sense for the former Brighton boss to target a new forward with Celtic star Daizen Maeda already linked with a switch.
There is likely to be no shortage of incoming transfer rumours as the window goes on, with the German potentially set to have a nervy few months in E20.
