Leeds United could be set for a tricky few weeks as the future of Jack Harrison comes into question.

The 28-year-old has spent the last two seasons on loan at Everton after ejecting himself from Elland Road after relegation was confirmed.

This has seen him become somewhat of a disliked figure in LS11, as many feel he let the Whites down by moving on as the Yorkshire club dropped into the Championship.

Now, transfer news has emerged at the end of the Premier League season surrounding Harrison, which is bound to raise questions for Paraag Marathe and Co.

Harrison worry emerges at Leeds United

The Englishman has had a largely positive spell at Goodison Park despite not ripping up any trees on the blue side of Merseyside.

Under both David Moyes and Sean Dyche, the winger was a reliable operator, although his goal output certainly didn’t catch the eye.

This saw the ex-Manchester City man contribute to just one goal this season and seven last year, not necessarily impressive.

As a result, it is little surprise that the Toffees have now confirmed that Harrison is returning to Leeds with the Premier League season now over.

This gives the 49ers and Daniel Farke a decision to make as the window looms as to what to do with the wide midfielder moving forward.

The atmosphere surrounding him at Elland Road may do the 28-year-old no favours over a potential stay in LS11 moving into the new season.

If a sale is prioritised for the Everton loanee, it may be difficult to find a suitor, and that will only cause wage concerns for the Whites.

It is far from a simple situation Leeds find themselves in.

Everton can confirm Jack Harrison, Jesper Lindstrøm, Orel Mangala and Armando Broja will return to their parent clubs when their loan deals expire next month.

Thank you for your service and good luck for the future, lads. 💙

Harrison exit may be likely at Leeds United

There is no doubt that Farke has a wealth of positive winger options available to him, even before any potential summer signings.

With the likes of Dan James and Wilfried Gnonto already full of Premier League experience, there is little need for Harrison right now.

This could see a summer sale make complete sense for Leeds as a new home for Harrison looks likely to be caught out in the near future.
