Everton are in pursuit of Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap who is set to choose his next club.

The young Englishman is becoming the hottest prospect of the summer as he looks set to move on from the Tractor Boys.

David Moyes is keen to sign a new striker for Everton this summer after some issues up front for the Blues across the 2024/25 campaign.

A solid second half of the season has certainly made Everton a much more attractive destination than they appeared under Sean Dyche.

Heading into the market, Everton are eyeing a move for Delap who has the interest of most Premier League clubs.

Liam Delap shares verdict on Everton meeting

Moyes has now spoken to Delap in an attempt to try and convince him to join Everton over the coming weeks.

But the Toffees are up against it with the 20-year-old also meeting a host of other clubs.

According to one journalist, Delap was left really impressed with his meeting with Everton and Moyes.

Liam Delap’s reps are in Newcastle today for another round of talks. We’ve also heard that he really liked the pitch made by Everton.

Delap really enjoyed his chat on Merseyside, but he has now held a further round of talks with Newcastle United on Monday.

The battle is really beginning to heat up over the young striker’s signature.

It is believed Delap wants to make a decision this week on his next club as he is soon heading out to represent England in the U21 Euros.

Moyes and Everton have seemingly done what they can, but naturally face an uphill task given the calibre of the competition.

Everton have proven a lot of pundits wrong in Moyes keeping them afloat.

But now it is time for them to really push on and signing a player of Delap’s potential would be a huge statement of intent from the new owners.
