Leeds United could sign left-back Kostas Tsimikas from Liverpool for “no more than £15 million,” according to Football Insider.
Leeds won promotion back to the Premier League at the second time of asking under the management of Daniel Farke. Having suffered a heart-breaking defeat in the 2024 play-off final against Southampton, the Whites pushed on and this year, secured the title, winning the Championship with 100 points.
The Whites are now focused on the summer transfer window with the club, no doubt, hoping to buck the worrying recent trend of all newly promoted teams being immediately relegated. With Farke’s position at Elland Road confirmed, the German can hone in on improving his team and it appears the manager wants strength in depth for his left-hand side.

Kostas Tsimikas
Already a squad player for Liverpool, Kostas Tsimikas, who earns £80,000 per week, could make his exit from the club within the coming weeks, according to Football Insider. Since moving to Merseyside in 2020, Tsimikas has played as second choice to Andy Robertson, but Liverpool’s interest in Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth suggests that Tsimikas will be pushed even further down the pecking order.

At Elland Road, Junior Firpo is on an expiring contract at the time of writing, with left-back being a position that Leeds need to reinforce. Not only that, but aside from Firpo, Leeds have no left-footed left-backs and sometimes showed, in the Championship, how they struggled with a lack of width due to this.
In Tsimikas, who Leeds have long been interested in, the club would be signing not only a winner, but a player with Premier League experience, something that will prove crucial for the Whites if they hope to avoid an immediate return to the second tier. If the fee of £15 million reported by Football Insider is accurate, then it would be a shrewd deal for the West Yorkshire outfit.
