Following Kyrie Irving’s ACL tear, which expected to sideline him for most of the upcoming season, the Mavs are exploring options to temporarily fill the void at the one.

According to The Stein Line, Lonzo Ball, Chris Paul, and Jrue Holiday are among the names being linked to a potential move to Dallas.

While the Mavericks are expected to at least explore possible trade avenues for Boston’s Jrue Holiday, a deal appears unlikely. Holiday still has three years and $104 million remaining on his contract, which makes any move financially and logistically complicated.

More realistic options include Chicago’s Lonzo Ball and San Antonio’s Chris Paul.

Ball, who is under contract for two more years at $20 million, still can offer intriguing upside when he's healthy, averaging 7.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 35 games this season.

Meanwhile, 40-year-old Paul will be a free agent this summer. Despite his age, he showed he can still contribute, appearing in all 82 games last season while averaging 8.8 points, 7.4 assists, and 3.6 rebounds.
