Pacers Make Decision on Tyrese Haliburton’s Father During Knicks Series

Indiana Pacers superstar Tyrese Haliburton's father, John, was suspended from attending home games indefinitely after a confrontation with Giannis Antetokounmpo in the team's first-round series.

That took place back on April 29, and John hasn't seen a game in person at Gainbridge Fieldhouse since.

Haliburton and the Pacers have since taken down the No. 1-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers.

John hasn't just stayed away from Indiana's home games, he also hasn't been on the road to watch the team in person.

The Pacers went into the Big Apple and secured a 2-0 lead over the New York Knicks in the Eastern Confernece.

With the series moving back to Indianapolis, John missed Game 3, which saw the Knicks mount a 20-point comeback and move the series to 2-1 in favor of the Pacers.

The Pacers now have a chance to push the series to 3-1 in Game 4, which could be a massive swing as both teams are fighting to represent the East in the NBA Finals.

John will be in the building, too.

Haliburton's father will be able to attend home games moving forward, as ESPN's Shams Charania shared on Monday.

"Tyrese Haliburton’s father, John, will be allowed to attend Pacers home games in a suite beginning with Tuesday's pivotal Game 4 against the Knicks," Charania shared on X. "John Haliburton missed eight games following a confrontation with Giannis Antetokounmpo on April 29."

Charania added that John won't be attending road games still, which means he won't be at Game 5 in Madison Square Garden.

"John Haliburton will still remain away from Pacers road games, but he will be back to watch his son Tyrese and the Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse starting with Tuesday's contest," Charania wrote on X.

The Knicks are aiming to return the series to Indianapolis for Game 6, which would mean they win at least one more game without being sent out of the playoffs.
