Given the successful campaign that FC Barcelona have enjoyed, it is not a surprise to see a number of their players emerge as top contenders for individual honours.
As confirmed earlier, Lamine Yamal and Pedri are in the running for the La Liga U23 Player of the Season honour while manager Hansi Flick is nominated for the La Liga Coach of the Season prize.
Four stars in contention for Player of the Season award
Now, as many as four Barcelona stars have been nominated for the La Liga Player of the Season award.
Indeed, the aforementioned pair of Lamine Yamal and Pedri are in the running for this honour as well, and have been joined by teammates Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha, both of whom were integral to the Catalans’ La Liga triumph.

Lewandowski finished the season as the second-highest goalscorer in the league with 27 strikes in 34 games.
Raphinha, on the other hand, racked up a brilliant tally of 18 goals and 11 assists from 36 matches while Lamine was directly involved in 24 goals (9G, 15A) from 35 games.
As for Pedri, he was inarguably the most influential player on the field for Barcelona, missing only one league game all through the season. He also notched up four goals and five assists in his 37 appearances.
The Barcelona quartet are up against the Real Madrid trio of Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and Vinicius Jr. for the honour while Isco of Real Betis and Athletic Club star Oihan Sancet also make the nominations.
