Arsenal are keeping their options open when it comes to attempting to bolster the squad at the Emirates Stadium and their stance has resulted in sporting director Andrea Berta working on numerous attacking deals ahead of the transfer window reopening for business in the summer, GIVEMESPORT sources have revealed.
Defensive midfielder Martin Zubimendi has edged towards becoming the Gunners' first acquisition since the end of the 2025/26 campaign, thanks to the Real Sociedad fan favourite verbally agreeing personal terms ahead of his release clause being triggered, but boss Mikel Arteta wants to secure fresh competition in the final third of the pitch.
Although Arsenal are attempting to convince Thomas Partey to sign a new contract, which would end fears of him leaving as a free agent in the coming weeks, the north Londoners are remaining determined to dip into the market for reinforcements as they aim to end their wait for silverware.

Berta is exploring more than 10 deals in a bid to upgrade Arsenal's attack, according to GMS sources, with the Italian leaving no stone unturned as he aims to ensure the north Londoners have considered every possible option as they attempt to end their wait for a Premier League title next season.
Kai Havertz suffered a hamstring injury in February, after fellow frontman Gabriel Jesus had already been forced onto the sidelines, and their respective absences hampered the Gunners as they went in search of closing the gap on eventual champions Liverpool during the second half of the campaign.
GMS sources have been informed that Benjamin Sesko, Viktor Gyokeres, Alexander Isak and Joao Pedro - who are currently on the books of RB Leipzig, Sporting, Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion respectively - are among the strikers to have been considered by Arsenal to a varying degree ahead of the summer.

The Gunners' hierarchy have been prepared to back Arteta in previous transfer windows, with Declan Rice being the most expensive acquisition in the north Londoners' entire history after completing a £105million move in July 2023, and they will have to splash the cash in order to bring in a big-name.
Arsenal are also eyeing a wide forward, GMS sources have learned, leading to Rafael Leao, Rodrygo, Alejandro Garnacho, Nico Williams, Jamie Gittens, Kaoru Mitoma, Mohammed Kudus and Bryan Mbeumo - of AC Milan, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Athletic Bilbao, Borussia Dortmund, Brighton, West Ham United and Brentford respectively - being eyed.

GMS sources have been told that Atalanta talisman Ademola Lookman, Bayern Munich fan favourite Leroy Sane and Juventus marksman Dusan Vlahovic have also been offered to Arsenal after clubs and agents have become aware of the capital club's desire to bring in attacking reinforcements.
The latter has edged closer to entering the final 12 months of a contract which allows him to pocket in excess of £315,000-per-week, resulting in his current employers being open to offers due to fears of him heading through the exit door as a free agent at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
Arsenal are expected to sign two attackers as they continue looking to enhance the quality in their frontline and have shown a willingness to spend big, GMS sources understand, while there is an acceptance that there is increased pressure to get their business right thanks to Liverpool and Manchester City being on course to show ambition by dipping into the market.

Arsenal have a number of academy stars coming through, including teenage midfield duo Ethan Nwaneri and Max Dowman.
GMS sources recently revealed that Berta has made contact with Real Madrid in an attempt to discover whether it would be possible to sign Rodrygo for Arsenal this summer, but it has become clear that it would cost at least £80million in order to get the deal over the line if he is given the green-light to leave the Bernabeu.
