Liverpool are ready for a busy week ahead with the club working on several deals. The Jeremie Frimpong move has been completed in terms of medical and contracts too, while Liverpool keep advancing to bring Florian Wirtz to the club as conversations with Bayer Leverkusen continue. But they don’t want to stop as one of the priority targets is also the new left-back.
Milos Kerkez remains the clear favourite name on the shortlist.
Liverpool 'Optimistic' of Reaching Milos Kekrez Agreement
They have been in active talks for weeks
Milos Kerkez in action for Bournemouth
Already, for two weeks Liverpool have been in active, good talks with the player's camp as Kerkez wants the move and appreciates the Liverpool project and their ambition. Also, Richard Hughes is the director and the man who signed Kerkez - described as "crazy" by former teammate Mathew Ryan - for Bournemouth in what has been a successful transfer.
The feedback from both player and club sides is excellent, and that’s why optimism remains to get the agreement done.
The deal has not been completed yet because Liverpool became busy with the Florian Wirtz deal out of nowhere. They were hoping to get a green light from the German star but it was a dream move and not an easy one. Then they got positive messages around Wednesday changing the timing of the negotiations.
Personal Terms no Issue for Liverpool and Kerkez

But what hasn't changed is Liverpool's desire to sign a new left-back with talks ongoing for Kerkez, and Bournemouth are aware of new contacts to take place this week.
The official club-to-club negotiations will continue. Liverpool believe Frimpong and Kerkez could be two excellent additions to the team for a fair transfer fee package, with Florian Wirtz being the superstar for the long term, as part of a clear vision to add more quality players.

Sources guarantee that personal terms are not an issue between Kerkez and Liverpool, with the player keen on the move and the club already having a very good relationship with his new agent, who also represents fellow red, Federico Chiesa.
A new round of talks will take place soon, but Liverpool won’t stop. And this week will be crucial for Kerkez’s future.
