The Aaron Rodgers–Steelers rumors have picked up steam again, and not everyone is buying the hype.
While many have speculated that Pittsburgh could and should make a move for the four-time MVP, one former Super Bowl champion just stepped in with a harsh reality check.
On FS1’s "The Facility", LeSean McCoy took direct aim at Rodgers’ recent play—and challenged the idea that a change of scenery would change the outcome.
“He didn’t look great last year. He played OK. They didn’t win anything. They didn’t do anything,” McCoy said. “They were the same Jets as before he got there. So why are we stuck on what he used to be?”
Rodgers, of course, had his 2023 campaign cut short after suffering an Achilles injury just four plays into his New York Jets debut. With the Jets struggles last season its raised questions about how far the future Hall of Famer can still carry a team—especially in the postseason.
McCoy wasn’t done.
“I’m gonna set the record straight,” he continued. “Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Kenny Pickett—you know what they have in common? They have a good regular season, they get into the playoffs, and they lose. Aaron Rodgers gonna walk his old [expletive] up there—you know what’s gonna happen? They’re gonna have a good regular season and they’re gonna lose in the playoffs.”

Brutal. But McCoy’s point landed.
With Rodgers turning 41 this season, the window to prove people wrong is rapidly closing. And if the Steelers rumors heat up any further, this take is likely to follow him every step of the way.
