Report: Everton eye shock move to sign "absolute monster" from Champions League giants

Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah has attracted interest from fellow Merseyside club Everton, according to CaughtOffside.

Despite the skepticism surrounding Arne Slot when he arrived at Liverpool, the Dutchman defied all expectations in his debut Premier League season, guiding the Reds to their second-ever title in the modern English top flight with four games to spare in a truly dominant season for the club.

Liverpool have wasted no time in the transfer market since winning the trophy. To replace the departing Trent Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool have agreed a deal to sign Jeremie Frimpong and are hoping to add both Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez, of Bayer Leverkusen and Bournemouth respectively, to their squad this summer.

The Reds are making a statement that their title is one that they want to defend, but it would now seem that they may have to deal with a departure amidst an influx of additions.

CaughtOffside have reported that Jarell Quansah could depart Liverpool this summer. At just 22 years old, the defender has proven that he is a player with potential, one who has steadily earned a place in the Liverpool team. Under Slot, however, Quansah has struggled, both in adapting to the system and for consistent minutes.

With the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez ahead of him in the pecking order, it appears that Qunsah’s best chance of first-team football lies away from Anfield. As per CaughtOffside, a number of clubs in the English top flight are interested in the defender, including Liverpool’s arch-rivals Everton.

At Everton, Quansah, who has been called an "absolute monster" in the past, would certainly find first-team football easier to come by and under David Moyes, would be playing at an established top flight club. Whether Liverpool would allow a promising talent to join their Merseyside rivals, however, remains to be seen.
