Liverpool’s 2024/25 season will go down as one of the most memorable of recent times after the Reds scooped an unexpected Premier League title.
After seeing Jurgen Klopp leave the club at the end of last term, many had predicted a season of transition at Anfield.
However, Arne Slot defied the expectations and led Liverpool to a 20th English league title.
Amid a sensational personal season for talisman Mohamed Salah, here’s how we rated every member of the Liverpool squad in 2024/25.

Goalkeepers
Alisson Becker: 9/10 – Another superb campaign from Alisson who came up big a number of times despite struggling with injury once again.
Caoimhin Kelleher: 9 – It’s hard to give Kelleher anything less than Alisson after the number two stepped in wonderfully to play another 20 matches this term. The title genuinely wouldn’t have been won without him.
Vitezslav Jaros: 7 – Jaros made his Liverpool debut during the season, doing well when coming on for Alisson at Crystal Palace before excelling in the Carabao Cup at Brighton. Nothing more could have been asked of the Czech,
Defenders
Trent Alexander-Arnold: 7 – A decent goodbye campaign from Alexander-Arnold, but inarguably one of his least effective at Liverpool. There were some standout moments but a haul of seven assists is his lowest for eight years. Is it the right time to go!?
MORE LIVERPOOL STORIES
Conor Bradley: 7 – Bradley made further steps with some eye-catching performances but injuries prevented the Northern Irishman from really hitting the higher scores.
Virgil van Dijk: 9.5 – A truly stunning campaign from Van Dijk, who would have been right in the conversation for player of the year had it not been for Salah’s super-human campaign.
Ibrahima Konate: 8 – Part of the reason for Van Dijk excelling was having a steady partner next to him and Konate really came of age this season. Injury-free for much of the season, the Frenchman had comfortably his best season at the club.
Jarell Quansah: 5 – Quansah was the man who paid the price of Konate’s new-found consistency, taking a step back after a stunning debut season. Having made too many mistakes when given chances in the team, it is no surprise to hear that Quansah could be sold.

Joe Gomez: 7 – Despite the fact Gomez only managed 17 appearances in 24/25, the 28-year-old sent a reminder of how good he can be at centre-back, stepping in impressively while Konate was injured.
Andy Robertson: 6.5 – It certainly wasn’t all bad from Robertson, but it’s undeniable that we saw a sharp decline from the 31-year-old this season. He held his own well in parts, but there were too many bad days. Two assists from such an attacking full-back is not good enough.
Kostas Tsimikas: 7 – Some may disagree, but we think Tsimikas was the better of Liverpool’s two left-backs this season. Like Robertson, he wasn’t always perfect, but he deserved the chances he got and never let Liverpool down.
Midfielders
Alexis Mac Allister: 9 – Ryan Gravenberch may have taken most of the plaudits in Liverpool’s midfield, but Mac Allister has grown to become the main man. This was the season where the Argentine went from being a very good Premier League midfielder to becoming a world-class one.
Curtis Jones: 6 – For too long there has been a feeling that we have been waiting for Curtis Jones to truly explode. Despite deservedly earning himself an England call-up this season, we are still waiting for that to happen for yet another season.
Ryan Gravenberch: 8.5 – The first half of Gravenberch’s season was one of the best sustained periods of form seen from a Liverpool midfielder in a long time. Faltered a little as the season wore on but came back strong at the end to underline a terrific season of development.
Wataru Endo: 6.5 – Although Endo has long since cemented his cult status at Liverpool it is hard to give him a higher score simply because he did not get enough minutes on the pitch. Delivered what was asked of him with aplomb, though, and can be proud of his season.

Harvey Elliott: 6 – A disappointing personal season for Elliott looks like it could end in a sale. Scoring away to beat PSG was an incredible moment, but it was one of few highlights as he failed to convince Slot.
Dominik Szoboszlai: 7.5 – Szoboszlai answered calls for him to provide more goal threat by laying on eight goals and eight assists. A key strike away at Man City will live long in the memory, but there remains a feeling that he could be getting more out of his extreme physical attributes.
Attackers
Mohamed Salah: 10 – What else can you say about Salah’s season that hasn’t already been said? One of the greatest seasons ever seen from a Premier League player.
Federico Chiesa: 5 – We’d love to score Chiesa higher in this one, but after barely getting on the pitch in the Premier League and failing to make enough of an impact in the cups, his season has to go down as a disappointment.
Cody Gakpo: 7.5 – There was a period just before Gakpo got injured in February where he felt like Liverpool’s most important attacker. Scored a series of crucial goals but just went off the boil a little too often to score higher. Ends the season with an impressive return of 18 goals.
Luis Diaz: 8 – There was a chance that Diaz could have been sold last summer, and some supporters would still let him go if the opportunity arises this summer. However, the Colombian became a key part of Slot’s starting XI whether from the left or through the middle and ends with a healthy 17 goals.
Diogo Jota: 6 – Jota had some good moments – the Merseyside Derby winner being the best of them – but they were few and far between in a campaign where his effectiveness truly started to wane.
Darwin Nunez: 5 – Seven goals for an £85m striker is never going to lead to a good rating and while Nunez provided two big strikes away at Brentford to send Liverpool on their way to the title, this season was simply not good enough. Got worse as the season went on and likely won’t be here next term.
