Everton may be motivated to quickly seal a deal for Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
The Toffees must look to strengthen their attack next summer, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s contract at Goodison Park expiring soon.
David Moyes will also be without Armando Broja next season as the Albania international has returned to Chelsea after his loan spell.
Delap presents The Friedkin Group (TFG) with an opportunity to make a statement next summer, with the Blues moving to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, but the Americans will arguably want to seal the deal as soon as possible.

Newcastle United are trying to convince Delap to move to St James’ Park amid interest from the Toffees, according to TEAMtalk.

The news outlet reports (26 May) that Eddie Howe has personally spoken with the 22-year-old as the Tyneside outfit look to sign him.
It’s been claimed that the Magpies can entice the English striker with the prospect of playing Champions League football next season.

While the Blues can’t offer Delap European football, the youngster will surely be an essential part of the starting lineup.
Moyes has relied on Beto in recent weeks, but the 27-year-old has been underwhelming for most of his career at Goodison Park, while Calvert-Lewin’s injury issues make him unreliable even if he stays.
Alexander Isak has been Newcastle’s chosen centre-forward in recent seasons, and it seems unlikely that the Ipswich star will be able to pip him in the pecking order.

The 22-year-old could potentially be the face of the new era at Hill Dickinson Stadium, as the Toffees look to be successful under the Scottish manager.
Having won the UEFA Conference League title with West Ham United, there’s no reason the 62-year-old can’t win silverware with the Blues if TFG back him with quality signings.
The Ipswich striker arguably still has a lot to learn before becoming a Champions League-quality player, and the Merseyside outfit can be a stepping stone for his further development.
