Newcastle United would be willing to pay close to £60 million to sign Joao Pedro from Brighton and Hove Albion, according to Fichajes.

Not only did the Magpies win the Carabao Cup, but they qualified for the Champions League for the second time in three years, a testament to the work that Eddie Howe has done as manager.
With a place in Europe’s most prestigious competition once again and presumably, significant finances available from their ownership, Newcastle already have their attention on the upcoming summer transfer window. If reports are correct, then it appears Howe wants to deepen his attacking options.

It has been reported that Pedro could depart Brighton this summer, with the Brazilian open to leaving the club. Newcastle, of course, already have Alexander Isak as a striking option, but with European football now added to their calendar, the Magpies will need a large squad and Pedro would receive ample minutes.
Callum Wilson looks set to move on from the North East this summer upon the expiration of his contract, meaning Newcastle will certainly need to add another forward to their ranks. In Pedro, dubbed a "superstar," they would be signing one of the best on the market. Newcastle are also interested in Bryan Mbeumo and should they land both him and Pedro, it would be a massive statement to the rest of the Premier League.
