‘All day long’: BBC pundit thinks he knows exactly what will happen with Jack Grealish this…

Manchester City winger Jack Grealish faces an uncertain future at the Etihad Stadium this summer.

The 29-year-old has started just seven Premier League games for Manchester City this season, with just one of those coming in 2025.

In addition, Pep Guardiola omitted Grealish from his matchday squad for City’s Premier League season finale against Fulham.

BBC Sport pundit and former Manchester City midfielder Michael Brown has now shared what he thinks will happen with Grealish this summer.

Michael Brown predicts loan move for Manchester City winger Jack Grealish

Michael Brown, speaking on Football Daily, explained how it won’t be easy for another club to sign Jack Grealish due to his contract and likely transfer fee.

With that in mind, Brown predicted a loan move for Grealish “all day long”, and explained how the winger is the kind of player who needs an arm around him.

“The problem is he’s got a decent contract, as we know,” said Brown.

“It’s not going to be easy for a football club to come and take him. When he’s not getting picked so long, it’s a loan all day long.

“You would imagine that would be the case because nobody would obviously be able to pay the transfer fee and the wages you would expect. So I feel like it would be a loan.

“I think if anybody knows Jack Grealish, he’s just an infectious character, very kind. He just wants an arm round him. He just wants to play football.”

After the win over Fulham, Guardiola hinted that Grealish may need to leave City in order to get regular first-team football.

“It was selection,” Guardiola told reporters when asked about Grealish’s absence from the matchday squad.

“The last two months, month and a half there were five or six players at home every time and this time I decided for these guys. No more than that.

“Of course Jack has to play. He’s an unbelievable player that has to play football every three days. It didn’t happen this season and last season either.

“He needs to do it. With us or another place. It’s a question for Jack, his agent and the club.”

Grealish was also an unused substitute in City’s 1-0 defeat by Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final.

Guardiola has preferred the likes of Savinho, Jeremy Doku, Phil Foden and Omar Marmoush on the left wing in recent months.

Tottenham are said to be interested in signing Grealish, as are other Premier League clubs such as Aston Villa and Newcastle United, as well as Serie A giants AC Milan.
