Ansu Fati has reportedly made it clear that his priority this summer is to join Monaco and he’s hopeful a deal can be struck with the Ligue 1 side.
[Monaco have been in talks with Fati over a move](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2025/5/24/24436332/ansu-fati-getting-close-to-agreeing-deal-from-barcelona-to-monaco), although it’s also been reported that he has also attracted interest from Chelsea.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo, Fati has decided that it’s Monaco where he wants to play his football next season for a number of reasons.
The Barca forward likes Monaco’s attacking style of play and possession-based football as well as the fact they will play Champions League football next season.
Barcelona are also said to agree that Monaco would be a good place for Fati to head due to their style of play and think the Ligue 1 club could help the forward get back on track.
According to Què T’hi Jugues, Laporta and Jorges Mendes are set for more talks tonight about Fati and the deal could even be closed.
The current thinking is that Fati will go on loan, with an option to buy, and a transfer could even be announced some time this week.
