Liverpool and Everton football clubs have said they are supporting police after a car ploughed into a football parade in Liverpool.
Hundreds were out to celebrate Liverpool’s Premier League win when a vehicle rammed down Water Street at around 6pm.
Footage showed the car reverse and then speed through more people.
A man, 53, has been arrested.
Liverpool FC said on X: ‘We are in direct contact with Merseyside Police regarding the incident on Water Street, which happened towards the end of the trophy parade earlier this evening.

Responding to Liverpool’s post, Everton added: ‘Our thoughts are with all those who have been affected by this serious incident in our city.’
