Following an incident during their open top bus parade in the city centre, Liverpool Football Club has issued a statement. The Reds, having lifted the Premier League trophy on Sunday, celebrated with fans on Bank Holiday Monday, but as the festivities wound down, a sombre note struck Water Street.
Merseyside Police have confirmed an individual was apprehended after people were hit by a car.
The club's communication detailed their liaison with authorities: "We are in direct contact with Merseyside Police regarding the incident on Water Street which happened towards the end of the trophy parade earlier this evening."

Expressing their concern for those impacted, they remarked: "Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been affected by this serious incident."
They pledged ongoing support in dealing with the aftermath: "We will continue to offer our full support to the emergency services and local authorities who are dealing with this incident.", reports the Liverpool Echo.
Solidarity across the city's football community was evident as Everton Football Club and Tranmere Rovers Football Club both echoed Liverpool's sentiments, taking to social media to extend their well-wishes.
Everton shared a heartfelt message: "Our thoughts are with all those who have been affected by this serious incident in our city."
Meanwhile, Tranmere Rovers FC shared a heartfelt message on their official Twitter account: "All of our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the incident in Liverpool city centre this evening."
