Christian Eriksen is just about to enter his final month as a Manchester United player, as the veteran midfielder’s contract winds down.
Having moved to Old Trafford on a free transfer in 2022, Eriksen has been with the club for three seasons, having won the FA Cup and Carabao Cup under Erik ten Hag.
Whilst the Denmark international was instrumental under ten Hag, his involvement in the squad became much more sporadic under Ruben Amorim, only being used to cover the extensive injuries at Old Trafford.
However, United in Focus has reported that Eriksen’s United duties may not be over just yet as he could be instrumental in helping The Red Devils signing Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo.

How Christian Eriksen can help Manchester United sign Bryan Mbeumo
The pair played together at Brentford prior to Eriksen’s move to Manchester, with Mbeumo regarding the midfielder extremely highly.
Speaking in 2022 of the relationship he built with Eriksen, Mbeumo commented: “He [Eriksen] just explained to us when he came now I’m fully recovered, I’m ready to play and if anybody’s got a question you can ask me about it and I will reply [about his heart attack].
“I think he gave us confidence. He’s working hard and he’s a world-class player.”
Mbeumo has emerged as United’s next priority signing after sealing Matheus Cunha’s move to Old Trafford and Chelsea seemingly ahead in the race for Liam Delap.
Given that clubs often use existing player relationships through former clubs or national call-ups to help lure transfer targets, it’s not hard to believe that United could look to lean on Mbeumo’s admiration of his former teammate.
