Max Dowman produced an excellent first half display which included a goal and assist but England U17s were knocked out of the European Championship in the group stages despite beating Czechia 4-2.
Dowman, who played an hour of the game, opened the scoring in the fifth minute with a neat finish following some incredible skill.
The 15-year-old then turned provider for Alejandro Rodriguez with an excellent pass. He was also involved in the build-up to England’s third goal, which was scored by Harry Howell.
Dowman had further opportunities, while his Arsenal team-mate Jack Porter made a couple of good stops.
England were leading 4-1 and seemed set to progress but a late goal from Hugo Sochurek meant that they were eliminated.
