Deion Sanders Sets the Record Straight on Shedeur Sanders’ Reported $500K Purchase

The 2025 NFL season is quickly approaching, and one name many have their eyes glued to is Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who is fighting for a chance to start and a roster spot.

Throughout his college career, he became known as a flashy person, and that character trait only continues, because in a video posted to the "Well Off Media" YouTube channel, his new custom Rolls-Royce was showcased, being delivered at his family's estate in Texas.

The purchase quickly made its rounds on social media, with many reports suggesting that the car was worth $500,000.

However, Deion Sanders, his father and his former head coach with the Colorado Buffaloes, responded to those claims, saying "LIES!"

Obviously, $500,000 is a significant amount of money considering that Sheduer's rookie contract with the Browns is worth $4.6 million over four years, while he received a signing bonus of $447,380, per Spotrac.

Though that doesn't mean that he likely couldn't afford such a luxurious purchase, as past reports claimed that his NIL valuation at the collegiate level sat at $6.5 million, having had endorsements with companies such as Nike, Urban Outfitters, Beats by Dre and Gatorade.

That's certainly impressive considering that Deion, a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, an eight-time Pro Bowler and a two-time Super Bowl champion, made $33.5 million in his 14-year career at the NFL level.

Of course, all of that could seem like nothing for Shedeur one day if he can come in and immediately make noise for the Browns to establish himself as a true franchise quarterback and eventually get paid like one.
