Cristiano Ronaldo has been the centre of significant speculation recently that his time with Al-Nassr may be coming to an end.
After joining the Saudi side in 2023 on a free transfer, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has made 105 appearances, with 93 goals and 19 assists.
Ronaldo currently sits as the club’s third highest goalscorer of all time, behind Mohammed Al-Sahlawi and Abderrazak Hamdallah with 123 and 115 goals respectively, holding the title has as the club’s highest goal scorer in a single Saudi Pro League season with 35 goals in the 2023/24 campaign.
However, the Portugal international has yet to win a team trophy since moving to Saudi Arabia, sparking rumours that he may be looking for a new club.
Over the last week reports have linked the 40-year-old with a move to Brazil or Morocco.
Firstly came the report that an unknown Brazilian side is looking to sign Ronaldo to take part in the upcoming Club World Cup, with the possible teams being shortlisted to Palmeiras, Flamengo, Fluminense and Botafogo as the four qualified for the tournament.
However, in a similar more to join the FIFA Club World Cup, Moroccan side Wydad Casablanca are also reportedly after Ronaldo.
Whilst it’s unknown who Ronaldo’s next side will be, his Instagram post seemingly confirms his time with Al-Nassr is over.
Posting a picture of himself in the Al-Nassr kit, Ronaldo captioned the image: “This chapter is over. The story? Still being written. Grateful to all.”
