Brentford star and Manchester United summer target Bryan Mbeumo has sent a message to supporters after his sublime 2024/25 campaign.
Manchester United are aiming to improve their underwhelming attack in the summer transfer window and have already agreed a deal to sign Matheus Cunha from Wolves.
The Brazilian was one of the standout players in the Premier League last season and he is not the only addition the Reds are planning for their frontline.
It has been revealed that United are also eyeing Brentford’s standout performer Bryan Mbeumo in the coming months to further bolster their attack.
Mbeumo scored 20 goals and registered eight assists in the Premier League last term and his future at the Gtech Community Stadium remains uncertain.
Mbeumo sends message to Brentford fans after fresh talks with United
There will be several clubs looking at Mbeumo as an option in the summer and the latest reports from MailSport have revealed that the player’s camp have held initial talks with United about a potential move.
The ManchesterWorld also state that United see the 25-year-old as an “ideal addition” to Amorim’s squad. His price tag is set at around £50 million and that seems more than fair to pay for his quality.
Meanwhile, Mbeumo has offered no hints about his future. When reflecting on his most prolific season in the Premier League to date, he thanked the Brentford supporters for their “unreal support” during the course of the campaign.
“It’s been an amazing season, thanks to the team for the hard work we put in the pitch and the fans for the unreal support they gave us throughout the season. Love,” he wrote on Instagram.
United would likely only be able to make a bid for the forward once they generate some funds through sales, with several players expected to be departing the club in the coming weeks.
Mbeumo would be amazing signing at United
It would be a huge display of intent to sign Mbeumo this summer alongside Cunha – those two players could completely change United’s attack.
Premier League-proven goalscorers are lacking at Old Trafford and this would bring two straight into Amorim’s squad, which would be very important.

With the likes of Amad, Bruno Fernandes and Joshua Zirkzee also involved, as well as another striker signing, United would suddenly have quality options across the board up front.
Some would argue that the Reds also need to improve at the other end of the pitch, with questions around the goalkeeper at Old Trafford, but there is no doubt that Mbeumo would be a top signing.
