A Liverpool FC supporter, hospitalised after being struck by a car during today's Premier League title parade, has described his condition as "absolute agony."
Jack Trotter was among the thousands of fans who flocked to Merseyside to witness Monday's open-top bus procession after Liverpool's historic 20th Premier League win.
Originally from Newtownards, County Down in Northern Ireland, Trotter arrived in the city accompanied by his girlfriend, Abbie Gallagher. Tragically, he was one of the spectators hit by a car following the conclusion of the parade.
Speaking to BBC News Northern Ireland from his hospital bed, he expressed his pain as "absolute agony".

Daniel Baxter who was at the parade said: "Liverpool has waited so long to celebrate something and we actually had our day and then something like this had to happen to ruin it.

"Before the incident, everything was fine, everyone was happy, partying, celebrating and then I think once the news started to come out about what had happened, everyone was sort of panicking to know what happened, get to the bottom of it.
"There were police everywhere, I don't really know how it happened, that's the thing, the streets were cordoned off."
Merseyside Police were alerted shortly after 6pm today, following reports of a car striking several individuals on Water Street in the city centre.
A significant emergency service response was present at the scene, with police vehicles, fire engines and ambulances scattered around the Water Street vicinity.
Earlier, Merseyside Police confirmed the arrest of a 53 year old white British man from the Liverpool area in relation to the incident.

During a press briefing tonight, it was disclosed that 27 people were hospitalised, with two, including a child, suffering serious injuries.
Assistant Chief Constable Jenny Sims stated that the police believe the arrested man was the driver of the vehicle involved in the crash. The force also clarified that the incident is not being treated as terrorism and is believed to be an isolated event.
ACC Sims stated: "Extensive enquires are ongoing to establish the circumstances leading up to the collision and it is vital that people do not speculate or spread misinformation on social media.
"I know that people will understandably be concerned by what has happened tonight. What I can tell you is we believe this to be an isolated incident and we are not currently looking for anyone else in relation to it.
"The incident is not being treated as terrorism. We would ask that people refrain from sharing distressing footage from the incident online and please share any information directly with our investigation team."
Merseyside Police have been quick to release details about the man nabbed to quash any rumours. They've urged the public: "We would ask people not to speculate on the circumstances surrounding tonight's incident on Water Street in Liverpool city centre.

"We can confirm the man arrested is a 53-year-old white British man from the Liverpool area. Extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances leading up to the collision."
They're also appealing for witnesses to keep it off social media, saying: "We would ask people not to share distressing content online but to send the footage or information directly to us @MerPolCC or pass on information by calling 101 quoting log 784."
