Dave Portnoy Called Out by New York Knicks Fans for Recent Comments

The New York Knicks came back from a 20 point halftime deficit to defeat the Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Sunday, giving coach Tom Thibodeau's team new life heading into Game 4 in Indianapolis tomorrow night.

The Knicks rode a 20 point fourth quarter from Karl Anthony-Towns to their Sunday night victory, which began in difficult fashion after New York fell behind by double digits in the second quarter just before halftime.

The Knicks's struggles led to a provocative as per usual tweet from Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, who was summarily criticized in the comments section for a prediction that went terribly wrong.

Portnoy predicted that the Knicks were about to get swept by the Pacers during the Game 3 fracas, a prediction that did not come true.

"Just know this man makes money off clicks. Learn to ignore him. Let him be a miserable human. Move on," one reader said.

"You're like (Jim) Kramer tweeting about the economy every time lol the opposite happens," one fan said.

"Sit this one out Davey."

"Please keep tweeting about the Knicks thank you," another reader said.

"It ain't over bub," another fan added.

"You didn't learn first time not to dance on the Knicks too early?" another said to the self-described 'El Presidente' of Barstool Sports.

The Knicks' next game is set for tomorrow night at 8 p.m. ET against coach Rick Carlisle's Pacers, with New York needing a win to send the series back to Madison Square Garden knotted up at two games apiece.
