Thunder's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Makes NBA Playoff History During Game 4 vs. Timberwolves

The Oklahoma City Thunder were on the road on Monday night as they faced off against the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.

Oklahoma City entered Monday’s game looking to bounce back after their 42-point loss in Game 2 on Saturday night and that is exactly what they were able to do.

In a hard-fought contest, the Thunder were able to hold off the Timberwolves 128-126 to pick up a crucial victory that now gives them a commanding 3-1 lead in the series with a chance to close it out at home on Wednesday night.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the way for Oklahoma City on Monday as he ended the victory with 40 points, nine rebounds and 10 assists.

Jalen Williams also had an incredible performance with 34 points, three rebounds and five assists while Chet Holmgren added 21 points, seven rebounds and three blocks of his own.

Of course, it was the NBA MVP, Shai, who stole the show in Monday’s victory in Game 4 with an outstanding performance that also saw him make NBA playoff history once again.

On Monday, Shai became just the fourth player in NBA playoff history to record 40 or more points, five or more rebounds and 10 or more assists in the Western Conference Finals.

This is an incredible accomplishment for the superstar point guard and one that adds to his growing list of them this season.

Of course, Shai led the way for the Thunder on Monday night but he also received a ton of help outside of their big three of him, Williams and Holmgren as Oklahoma City continues to show their incredible depth this season.
