Matteo Guendouzi should not face any injury-related issues if Aston Villa are to sign him this summer, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that his past experience in the Premier League with Arsenal would help him adapt quicker to the English top flight.
The 12-cap France international left the Emirates Stadium permanently in 2022 to join Marseille, before moving to Lazio, his current club.

Guendouzi fitness record is “exemplary” ahead of a potential transfer
Guendouzi, 26, has been lauded for his fitness record this past season for the Serie A club.
He missed all but one league game and that too was for a yellow card suspension.
The Frenchman also played 90 minutes in games more often than not, so he’s proven he can handle the rigours of being a first-team regular all season.
Competition Appearances Goals Assists Yellow Cards Red Cards Minutes Played
Serie A 37 1 3 8 0 3,275′
UEFA Europa League 9 0 2 1 0 753′
Italy Cup 2 0 0 1 0 120′

MORE VILLA STORIES
According to Inter Live (26 April), the main offers for the midfielder could come from Newcastle or Villa this summer.
Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News: “Wouldn’t expect any injury-related issues here if Villa are to sign him.
“While he will be arriving from a foreign club, his experience at Arsenal will help him adapt to the Premier League quicker.
“*Apart from that, his fitness record is exemplary, so there don’t seem to be red flags.*“

Aston Villa must avoid Matteo Guendouzi transfer
Aston Villa must steer clear of signing Guendouzi, as his inconsistent performances and questionable fit outweigh his appeal, even after missing Champions League qualification.
The 26-year-old Lazio midfielder brings energy but lacks the technical precision and discipline needed for Emery’s structured, possession-based system.
His tendency for rash decisions and limited goal contributions makes him a risky addition.
Villa, with their top-half Premier League status and Emery’s pull, can target higher-calibre midfielders like or young prospects from top European clubs.
Investing in a player with greater consistency and upside aligns better with Villa’s ambitions to compete for European spots and challenge the top six.
