Liverpool parade victim's two harrowing words after being struck by car

Liverpool fan Jack Trotter revealed that he is in "absolute agony" after being struck by the car that rammed into supporters during the club's trophy parade. He was among the 27 fans, including four children, who were rushed to hospital after the incident on Water Street.

He travelled to Liverpool from Northern Ireland, along with his girlfriend and friends, but was taken away by emergency services on the scene. Merseyside Police have confirmed that a 53-year-old man was arrested at the scene, after the car drove into dozens of people.

Speaking from hospital, Trotter told BBC News he was in "absolute agony".

Merseyside Police are questioning a 53-year-old suspect, who they say is a "white male" from the Liverpool area and it is being treated as a lone, isolated incident, not terrorism-related.
