NBA star LeBron James sent his prayers to people caught up in the vehicle ramming incident at the Liverpool parade to celebrate the soccer club's winning of the Premier League trophy this season.
James is a minor partner of Fenway Sports Group, which owns Liverpool FC.
Authorities said 47 people were hurt, including children, when a minivan crashed through crowds that had gathered in the northwestern English city for the event. A 53-year-old British man has been arrested.
"OMG!!!! WTH. My deepest thoughts and prayers goes out to everyone affected that attended @LFC Premiere League trophy parade today! Such a senseless act!" James posted to his X account.
