Exit-linked Real Madrid star do not have any offers on the table yet – report

According to a report by Jorge Picon, despite ongoing speculation about a potential summer exit, Real Madrid forward Rodrygo currently has no concrete offers on the table.

He mentions that while interest from Arsenal and other Premier League clubs is described as real, any potential transfer is still far from materialising, which is mostly down to the extravagant finances required to pull off this deal.

Rodrygo’s form in the second half of the 2024–25 season has done little to silence the rumours.

After scoring 14 goals earlier in the campaign, his output dropped sharply, with his last goal coming back in February during the Champions League Round of 16 against Atletico Madrid.

Since then, he has gone 12 matches without scoring, and his presence gradually faded, not just from the starting XI, but eventually even from the bench.

What next for Rodrygo?

Looking ahead, it is hard to see Rodrygo a part of Xabi Alonso’s tactical shift.

The new manager is likely to implement a back-three formation with only two attacking slots up front, which makes it difficult to accommodate Rodrygo, especially with Kylian Mbappe, Vinícius Jr., and Jude Bellingham all central to the team’s attacking structure.

As a result, Rodrygo cannot be an automatic starter under the new setup.

Meanwhile, it must be noted that during his first press conference as Real Madrid head coach, Alonso addressed Rodrygo’s future, albeit cautiously.

“Rodrygo is a Real Madrid player, and I will talk to everyone who is a Real Madrid player.

“They deserve it, and we need it. Rodrygo is a spectacular player; we will need him,” said the Spaniard, suggesting that a final decision will be made only after a personal conversation with the forward.

At the moment, all parties, including Madrid, Rodrygo, and interested clubs, appear to be in a holding pattern. The Premier League is clearly watching closely, but until Rodrygo has that important conversation with Alonso, any move remains purely speculative.

The upcoming weeks will be crucial in determining whether the Brazilian will stay to fight for his place at the Bernabeu or opt for a fresh challenge abroad.
