Chelsea are expected to be busy in the upcoming transfer window as they look to plug a number of gaps that have become apparent in the squad.
The Blues will have more licence to spend after confirming Champions League qualification for next season following the fantastic 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest on the final day of the season.
Chelsea were without a natural striker for that game due to the suspension of Nicolas Jackson, as well as Marc Guiu not quite being fit enough to make an impact.
A striker is high on the list as far as Enzo Maresca’s side are concerned for this summer, with them looking for a statement signing.
A number of reports have stated that the Blues could even bring in two attackers this summer, which would open up the opportunity for them to add a younger star to their ranks too.

Chelsea closing in on Emanuel Emegha pre-agreement
Emanuel Emegha would fit this bill after emerging on the club’s radar following an excellent second half of the season at fellow BlueCo club Strasbourg.
Premier League clubs are interested in Emegha, however Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea are planning to keep him in the model by completing a pre-agreement for him to join next summer.
He said: “Chelsea are planning potential pre-agreement for Emanuel Emegha to join in summer 2026. No chances for 22 year old striker to leave Strasbourg this summer; he’ll lead the line in Europe as key part of the project. Chelsea like him as possible option for the future.”

Emegha’s fantastic 2025
Despite being just 22, the Dutchman has already started to show plenty of quality in a top league. He was one of Strasbourg’s most important players after Andrey Santos and Djordje Petrovic.
He scored 14 goals in Ligue 1 last season, with 11 of those coming in 2025 as he began to show his class.
Emegha would become Chelsea’s fastest player if he joined, taking the crown from one of Pedro Neto or Mykhailo Mudryk.
It is clear that he would not be the only addition of the summer in the striker role. The Blues have been strongly linked with the likes of Hugo Ekitike and Liam Delap as they look for a more immediate solution.
