Matheus Cunha appears to have played his final game for Wolves.
The Brazilian has been the subject of intense speculation for the past weeks and months, and we are now simply waiting for confirmation of his exit.
Manchester United have now agreed terms with Matheus Cunha, who is expected to pen a five-year deal at Old Trafford.
Cunha sent a heartfelt message to Wolves fans on social media yesterday, which followed him waving goodbye to fans at Molineux after the draw with Brentford.
He will be Wolves’ first big sale of the summer.
United are to pay Wolves the £62.5 million – but they will pay in installments, and there is now word on when they will have to pay the full fee by.

It was reported a few weeks ago that Wolves were going to help Manchester United to sign Cunha.
Wanderers were open to United staggering their payments for the Brazilian, with the Red Devils’ financial issues well documented.

But they have been determined to sign Cunha, as the Brazilian has been shining in the same system for Wolves as United play.
According to BBC Sport, there is an expectation for United to pay the release clause in three separate installments of £20.8 million each time.
The first payment would be this summer, the second will be in the summer of 2026 and the final payment would be in the summer of 2027.

It’s not so ideal that Wolves will only be receiving £20.8 million this summer for Cunha, but perhaps it will aid with the club’s cash flow and help with PSR in the coming years.
It’s only a matter of time now before Cunha’s exit is confirmed by Wolves.
While the team showed recently that they can play without him, the 26-year-old is undoubtedly going to be sorely missed.

Appearances – 36
Minutes played – 2832
Goals – 17
Assists – 6
Ultimately, he’s got the potential to turn a game on its head at any given moment.
He can produce moments of magic like no one else in the Wolves squad really can, and he has bailed Wolves out countless times.
To lose that game-changer will be tough on Wolves. But hopefully, next season, we’ll see more performances like when he wasn’t available.
