Now that it’s all said and done, Chelsea can reflect on what was a rather strange Premier League season.
Chelsea looked like title contenders at one point this term, but, since the turn of the year, their form dipped.
Questions were asked of Enzo Maresca at one point, but, in the end, the Blues did make it to the Champions League and achieve their goal for the season.
On top of that, the Conference League final is on the horizon, so Chelsea could also come away with some major silverware too.
Chelsea have had some standout performers this season – Cole Palmer has been excellent at times, while Moises Caicedo has improved massively.
Speaking to TNT Sports, Ally McCoist has been discussing some of the standout performers in the Premier League this season, and he’s made a claim about who he believes has been Chelsea’s best player this term.

Ally McCoist names Enzo Fernandez as Chelsea Player of the Year
McCoist shared his verdict on who was the Player of the Year at a number of top Premier League clubs.
Inevitably, the likes of Mohamed Salah and Alexander Isak got mentions for Liverpool and Newcastle.
On top of that, McCoist picked Enzo Fernandez as Chelsea’s Player of the Year.
Fernandez has earned a lot of praise this season, and McCoist believes he’s been Chelsea’s best player even ahead of Cole Palmer and Moises Caicedo.
Peter Crouch picks Chelsea Player of the Year
Interestingly, McCoist wasn’t the only pundit who took part in this challenge.
Indeed, Peter Crouch also gave his verdict on who was Chelsea’s Player of the Year, and he picked Moises Caicedo.
Caicedo, Fernandez and Cole Palmer are all viable candidates for this award, while Marc Cucurella has also been brilliant at left-back too.
Chelsea have had an up-and-down campaign, but their star players have all had quite good seasons, and heading into next year, there’s plenty of reason to be excited about what Enzo Maresca’s side could achieve.
Chelsea will be back in the Champions League next season, and they may well be pushing to compete for major honours.
