Antoni Milambo agrees personal terms with Brentford – Bees formal offer ‘imminent’

On May 8th, 1908.nl reported Antoni Milambo had travelled to England to hold talks with Brentford. A week later, Feyenoord sporting director Dennis te Kloese stated the attacking midfielder won’t be sold for €16m and more is needed.

Four days ago, Voetbal Primeur reported the 20-year-old’s move to Brentford seems to be slipping away.

The operation to take Milambo to the Premier League club is back on track if a fresh report from 1908.nl is to be believed.

They point out their earlier claim and Te Kloese’s comment and then provide the latest on this case.

The Netherlands U21 international has ‘reached an agreement in principle’ with Brentford over personal terms. The Dutch club are aware of this and are awaiting further developments.

In other words, they are waiting for Thomas Frank’s side to make a formal bid and that ‘now seems imminent’. The report states the fee should be around €25m, likely including bonuses.

Feyenoord will only cooperate once they sign his replacement, Luciano Valente from FC Groningen. The opening bid of €4m plus €1m bonuses has been rejected and since he will not represent the Netherlands U21s, this operation could soon gain pace.

Once Feyenoord complete Valente’s signing, they could sanction Milambo’s sale to Thomas Frank’s side.

Milambo, for his part, is patiently waiting for developments to take place so that he can join the Premier League club.
