It is set to be a summer of change at Man Utd and Ruben Amorim has hinted at the transfer plans.
Ruben Amorim has hinted player sales will be the priority for Manchester United in the summer transfer window as they look to trim their squad and cut costs. United will not play any European football next season after they finished 15th in the Premier League and lost the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur.
United played 60 competitive matches across the campaign that ended with victory over Aston Villa at the weekend, but could play as few as 40 matches next season. They will play 38 times in the Premier League and at least once in both the FA and League cups.
It means United do not need to have as big a squad next season for the reduced workload and it could accelerate their plans to trim the squad this summer. United are open to offers for just about every first-team player and are expected to use the opportunity to streamline the first-team squad.

Ruben Amorim issues transfer update
Manchester United are back in action this week when they play their post-season tour of Asia. United face ASEAN All Stars in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday before they play Hong Kong on Friday.
Ruben Amorim has named a strong 32-man squad for the tour and is expected to name star-studded starting line up, with youngsters to be given a chance from the bench. Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday, the United head coach spoke about their summer transfer plans.
"We always prepare two plans, one with Champions League one without Champions League. Without Champions League, we don't need a big squad, we can control the squad in a better way," he said.
"Then we have a plan that is to bring some new players, of course, but our big plan is to improve the team that we have, is to improve our academy, that is the future, is not going to change so much because we have the FFP rules, we are not allowed to do much this summer. It's important to stick together. We are going to struggle, it is not going to be everything right away but I see the team improving and that is the most important thing."
Manchester United summer transfer plans
Manchester United are close to completion on a deal that will see Wolves star Matheus Cunha join the club in the summer transfer window. Ruben Amorim wants to add players with Premier League experience to his squad in an effort to improve their athleticism and adaptability for the new season.
United are also in the race to sign Ipswich striker Liam Delap, while they have expressed an interest in Brentford ace Bryan Mbeumo. They also retain a long-term interest in Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.
With the club open to offers for just about every player this summer, there could be wholesale changes at Old Trafford. Alejandro Garnacho has been told to find himself a new club, while Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony are all also certain to leave in the coming months. United also hope to sell at least one goalkeeper and it would also be in their interest to get Casemiro's wages off their books.
