Manchester United are expected to complete a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Matheus Cunha this week, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Red Devils are now close to making the Brazilian forward their first summer signing after reaching a verbal agreement over a five-year deal until June 2030.
Cunha’s contract will also include an option for a further season, while United will pay his £62.5m release clause in instalments.
The ‘exceptional’ 25-year-old striker is heading to Old Trafford after an impressive Premier League campaign at Molineux, with 15 goals and six assists in 33 top-flight appearances this season.

Romano, writing on Facebook, revealed that Cunha will sign for Man United this week and become Ruben Amorim’s first summer signing at Old Trafford.
Man United are likely to remain busy in the market following Cunha’s arrival, with at least two more forwards on the agenda for Amorim.
The Red Devils are aiming to bring in a new number nine and another forward to play in behind alongside Cunha, with Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo emerging as an option.
United may now face an early blow in their attempts to sign Ipswich Town starlet Liam Delap, as multiple Premier League sides, including Champions League qualifiers Chelsea, are also keen on the 21-year-old striker.
According to GIVEMESPORT sources, Old Trafford chiefs have set a deadline for Delap to decide whether he is interested in a move to Man United, and are aiming to get a clear indication of his intentions by the end of the week.
