Mount has had a strong end to the season on a personal level, scoring three times in May on his return from injury and forcing his way into Ruben Amorim’s starting XI for the Europa League final.
He will no doubt be part of a rotation policy in Malaysia and Hong Kong – where United travel next – given the 32-man group Amorim has selected, but is taking it seriously.
“As the gaffer said, any time you put on that shirt and you’re representing the club you want to perform to the best of your ability,” he added.
“We want to win the game and it's going to be a competitive game playing against the All-Stars, so we’re looking forward to it and we want to perform the best we can.”
