Rodrygo Goes’ future at Real Madrid remains in serious doubt amid interest from the Premier League and Arsenal, TBR Football can exclusively reveal.
There has been heavy speculation regarding Rodrygo’s future at Real Madrid recently, so much so that new manager Xabi Alonso name-checked the winger at his new manager unveiling.
Alonso was asked about Rodrygo, who has plenty of interest from England, and insisted that he wanted him to stay, describing him as a ‘spectacular’ player.
However, despite Alonso’s words, it’s understood that the Brazilian is yet to be convinced that he will be a key figure in Real Madrid’s new era.
Arsenal are ‘getting excited’ about potentially signing Rodrygo — a situation their Premier League rivals are also watching closely as events unfold in Spain.
Arsenal would ‘love’ to sign Rodrygo amid Real Madrid concerns
That being said, TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Rodrygo has grown concerned about his future in recent weeks, something that has alerted a number of Europe’s top clubs.
Rodrygo knows that his teammate Vinicius Junior is close to a new deal, whilst he also believes that Arda Guler is a personal favourite of Alonso’s.

Guler will be competing for one of the starting roles in attack next season and a host of interested teams have been told that the Turkish star is not available this summer.
Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea are amongst those alerted to Rodrygo’s situation, and they do all have an interest.
However, the strongest connection so far has come from Arsenal who ‘love’ the player and are keen to press home their interest.
Although, Arsenal have also made it clear that they don’t want to become embroiled in a summer long saga and they also don’t need to as they have other options.
Andrea Berta has plenty of alternatives to Rodrygo
Arsenal’s sporting director Andrea Berta is looking at several options to bolster the club’s forward line with a striker and a winger wanted.
Berta is considering a host of names but TBR are told that Rodrygo is towards the top of that list when it comes to signing a new wide-man.
Nico Williams, Rafael Leao, Jamie Gittens, Alejandro Garnacho, Ademola Lookman, Bryan Mbeumo and Mohammed Kudus also feature prominently — Arsenal do have options.
Indeed, it’s understood that Arsenal are one of the clubs to again ask about Guler’s situation at Real Madrid as well, but he is not on the market under any circumstances this summer.
Arsenal are in contract talks with Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli right now, but those discussions won’t impact the arrival of a new winger.
