After letting go of Jesper Lindstrom and Jack Harrison, in an extraordinary twist the on-loan Everton stars now have a future back on the table.
David Moyes decided to let go of the pair after an underwhelming loan spell at Everton for both forwards.
The only player who intrigued the interest of Moyes was Carlos Alcaraz who is ‘very happy’ at Everton.
Everton fans want Alcaraz signed permanently, and that appears to be the case with the club even confirming that talks were in place to sign the 22-year-old.
But despite the release of both Harrison and Lindstrom, their career on Merseyside might not be over just yet.

Twist in the futures of Jesper Lindstrom and Jack Harrison at Everton
It seemed like Evertonians were fairly happy to see both attackers leave after they didn’t provide too much of an impact.
The fanbase believes there are better options out there, and Bryan Mbeumo clears Harrison in terms of an upgrade.

Whether that’s realistic or not is another question, and due to this, it might explain the latest update on the future of both players.
Moyes hasn’t been impressed with Lindstrom as well, but a new report from the Liverpool Echo suggests otherwise.
The outlet suggests that neither was able to put together a ‘strong case’ for their retention, but Moyes could return for them later in the summer.
Napoli and Leeds United are likely to ‘listen to offers’ for Lindstrom and Harrison respectively, as their time with the club might still have legs.

There is no reason why Everton should entertain loanees returning
With there now being a possibility that the disappointing forwards return, Moyes would only be causing his own downfall.
It’s clear the fans didn’t take well to the on-loan pairing, who really struggled to adapt in the Premier League, and The Friedkin Group won’t want their healthy transfer budget spoiled on attackers who have shown they can’t make a difference.
Jesper Lindstrom’s Premier League statistics Jack Harrison’s Premier League statistics
Games played 25 34
Goals 0 1
Assists 1 0
Chances created 19 33
Dribble success % 20.5% 35.8%
The numbers are there for all to see and bring shock that Everton were ‘happy’ with Lindstrom’s performances.
As for Harrison, the winger just hasn’t replicated his Premier League fortunes like he did with Leeds not long ago.
The owners and Moyes should brush this under the carpet very quickly, as it would ultimately be a waste of money.
