Daniel Farke is looking to sign another striker at Leeds United this summer.

Leeds are on their way to the Premier League, having been crowned champions of the second tier this season.

However, as Farke looks to strengthen his side for life in the top flight, he is incredibly keen on attacking reinforcements, getting someone in early in the window.

The latest name on the list of targets is Nikola Krstovic, of Lecce, after what he has done this season.

Farke keen on Krstovic move

Although there are several areas that need more strength this summer, Farke has been focused on attacking reinforcements so far.

That is because the Whites head to the top flight with Joel Piroe as the only viable option for Farke to make use of.

Patrick Bamford, Mateo Joseph, and Joe Gelhardt are all being linked with moves away from Elland Road this summer, after failing to impress in West Yorkshire.

It’s not just about backup for Piroe either, as he failed to break the 20-goal barrier this season and there are concerns that he won’t be able to manage the step up to the top in the same form.

The latest name that has emerged on a list of targets, according to Vijesti (26 May), is Krstovic, who survived relegation from Serie A by just three points this term.

The report claims the striker showed his “goal-scoring class” once again in his efforts this season, but was forced to survive “hell” fighting for survival in Serie A.

With 16 goal involvements for his side this term, it’s clear that he had a big part to play, but is seemingly ready for a fresh start.

Although Leeds are credited with interest, they will have to fight off the interests of others, with the report stating that Inter Milan, Roma and Napoli are also interested.

Krstovic could suit Leeds United

Farke knows what he needs and is working hard to strike a deal and bring a striker to Elland Road.

Krstovic has played a big part in Serie A, but having fought against relegation again, is ready for something new.

His experience could work in Leeds’ favour as the Whites are likely to be fighting against the drop in the Premier League next season.

However, it could prove to be a move that the player himself is not keen on, as he wants to be at a side pushing towards the top.

With the likes of Jamie Vardy and Callum Wilson also on Farke’s radar this summer, Leeds are likely to have plenty of options at the top ready for the start of the season.
