Manchester United endured a Premier League season to forget after finishing down in 15th place.
There were high hopes for Manchester United heading into the 2024/25 season, but the Red Devils ended up suffering their worst Premier League season in history.
A mid-season change of manager and a huge shift in the style of play saw United struggle domestically, especially towards the end of the season when Ruben Amorim prioritised the Europa League.
The league campaign did end on a high with United beating Aston Villa 2-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, but it hardly spared the club’s embarrassment.

Five sales which could save Man United’s summer window
Reports claim that United have a £100 million transfer budget heading into the summer, but that will be used up fairly quickly with Matheus Cunha close to joining for £62.5 million.
However, Ineos are ready to inflate the budget through sales, and there is a big group of players who have been made available.
Marcus Rashford can leave for £40 million after Aston Villa chose against triggering his permanent buy option. Jadon Sancho and Antony are expected to leave permanently following their loan deals at Chelsea and Real Betis respectively.

Bruno Fernandes has been linked to Saudi Arabia for £100 million, although Amorim has made it clear that he doesn’t want to see United’s captain going anywhere.
Finally, Alejandro Garnacho has been told to find a new club following his comments in the wake of the Europa League final. The young winger should bring in north of £50 million for Ineos to reinvest in the squad.
