Despite enduring a torrid start to the season, Vitor Pereira was able to guide Wolves to safety – an achievement which has been lauded by Nelson Semedo.
Gary O’Neil was sacked in early December, with the Molineux outfit languishing in 19th place.
Pereira came in and, luckily for Wolves, the Portuguese boss managed to steer the club to safety.
Pereira’s record-breaking run transformed the club’s fortunes, and Wolves skipper Semedo has since revealed how the 56-year-old managed to turn things around at Molineux.

Nelson Semedo hails Vitor Pereira impact
Leaking goals and dropping points, it’s fair to say that Pereira had a mammoth task ahead of him upon his arrival at Molineux.
The Portuguese, however, seemed to take this challenge in his stride and somehow managed to turn Wolves into one of Europe’s most in-form teams.
When speaking to the Wolves website, Semedo provided a small insight into the successful changes made by Pereira.
“This squad has a lot of quality and we showed it, but I think we just needed a change. Maybe we just needed a couple of pieces, more to get to the next level, because that’s what I want from the club.

“I always want to go more and more, and I think this club deserves more, our squad deserves more, so I think next season we just have to push for that.”
Semedo situation still unclear for Wolves
Pereira will want to build upon his impressive start and will no doubt be hoping to have his captain by his side next season.
With that being said, though, Semedo’s future still remains unclear heading into the summer window.

Wolves have made Semedo an offer, with a reported four-year contract on the table, with it currently unknown whether the 31-year-old will accept the deal.
When speaking on his relationship with the Wolves supporters, Semedo had this to say about his Molineux future.
“They mean a lot because they’ve supported me a lot since I came. I remember when I came, I struggled a lot in my first season, and even despite that, they kept supporting me and pushing me for more.
“I love them and let’s see what the future brings us, but I wish all the best for them.”
