“I didn’t feel that desire to play football. I needed to find myself and be happy again because playing football is something I’ve always loved. I had a very difficult time at United and couldn’t find that pleasure. I told my brother I couldn’t take it anymore. My brother asked me to hold on little longer, that everything was going to change. I’m emotional because they were difficult days for me” – Antony speaking to TNT Sports via SPORT.
Later Antony said that he is very happy at Real Betis. The Spanish side is also happy with the Brazilian and is working hard to make him their permanent player. United are open to sell and will demand around £30-40 million for the Brazilian.
