Lukasz Fabianski is one of many West Ham United stars set to leave the London club this summer.

Graham Potter will need to overhaul his squad in the summer transfer window if they are to avoid a Premier League relegation battle next season.

Stars such as Jarrod Bowen have already been linked away amid PSR pressures, with numerous exits expected in order to fund signings.

However, Fabianski leaving West Ham will have no doubt be one of the toughest departures for Hammers fans this summer as he now looks for a new club.

Fabianksi has been a reliable goalkeeper for West Ham for years

Now, after a long spell at the London Stadium, the 40-year-old will embark on a new adventure this summer when his contract expires on 1 July.

However, the goalkeeper has admitted he wants to sign for a rival club as he aims to stay in London.

According to The Sun’s print edition (27 May, page 49), he said: “I’d love to be active as a player next season.

“As a family, we’re really settled in London, especially my little boy. We don’t want to disturb any of his studies, so hopefully something will come up soon.”

West Ham fans will wish Fabianski well wherever he goes

While moving to a London rival will be a controversial transfer, Hammers fans are likely to wish Fabianski well wherever he goes, as long as it isn’t Millwall or Tottenham.

The Polish goalkeeper proved he can play for another few seasons at a good level after featuring for the Hammers multiple times this season.

A move to a Championship side such as Charlton Athletic or QPR could be ideal, as he still possesses the ability to be the number one at Championship level.

Hopefully a move is secured soon, so Fabianski isn’t waiting around for a new club all summer.
