Amid this busy period, the spotlight is on Bruno Fernandes, who recently hinted at potential moves away from Old Trafford.
Bruno Fernandes has been one of Manchester United’s brightest performers in a season that has otherwise been challenging for the club.
The Portuguese midfielder, under contract until 2027 with an option for an extra year, has been linked with a lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League, with clubs reportedly offering eye-watering wages.
Following United’s Europa League final defeat to Spurs, Fernandes publicly acknowledged the possibility of the club cashing in on him should the right offer arrive.
Speaking on his future, Fernandes said, “I have always been honest.
“I’ve always said I will be here until the club says to me that it’s time to go. I’m eager to do more, to be able to bring the club to the great days.
“The day that the club thinks that I’m too much or it’s time to part ways, football is like this, you never know it.
“But I’ve always said it and I keep my word in the same way.”

Fernandes also added, “If the club thinks it’s time to part ways because they want to do some cashing in or whatever, it’s what it is and football sometimes is like this.
“The players have said that this season has been unacceptable.”
Despite the ongoing speculation, Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has publicly confirmed Fernandes’ importance to the team.
“He is really important for us and what we want to build for the team,” said Ruben Amorim.
“You can see by his performances. You can see by his leadership. You can see the passion he has for the game.
“In difficult moments Bruno is the guy who takes responsibility. He should do because he is the captain.”
Ruben Amorim further emphasised Fernandes’ role in the team’s leadership and performance, stating, “In the last game, the team was without pressure, they performed quite well, everybody wanted the ball, the team has different moments and in different moments Bruno [Fernandes] takes responsibility.”
Manchester United are on their Asian tour, kicking off with a fixture against ASEAN All Stars at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur on May 28, followed by a match against Hong Kong on May 30.
As they prepare for these matches, the club’s commitment to Fernandes seems clear — for now at least.
Whether Fernandes stays at Old Trafford or moves on for a significant fee remains to be seen, but his value to Manchester United is undeniable.
