Jurgen Klopp has responded to the unfortunate incident that occurred towards the end of Liverpool’s title parade on Monday evening.
Merseyside Police received reports of a vehicle colliding with multiple pedestrians who had gathered to watch the celebration.
The collision occurred shortly after 6:00 PM on Water Street in Liverpool city center as thousands of fans were celebrating the football club’s Premier League championship victory.
The incident happened approximately one mile from the end of the 10-mile parade route, shortly after the team’s open-top bus carrying the trophy had passed through the area.
The vehicle stopped at the scene, and emergency services responded immediately to assist the injured.
Now Jurgen Klopp has issued a message of solitary on his Instagram:
“My family and I are shocked and devasted.”
“Our thoughts and prayers are with all those injured and affected.”
“You’ll never walk alone.”
Meanwhile, Liverpool CEO Billy Hogan likewise released a statement on the matter, thanking emergency services on behalf of the Anfield club:
“I’d like to pay tribute to our emergency services and partner agencies – Merseyside Police, North West and St John Ambulance Services, and Merseyside Fire and Rescue – who dealt with the incident, and now our hospital staff across the city who are dealing with those who are injured, including tragically four children.”
