Viktor Gyokeres to Arsenal transfer latest - £59m bid, £10m bonus, agent meeting

Viktor Gyokeres' agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, will reportedly present Arsenal's proposed offer for his client to Sporting CP president Frederico Varandas in a meeting on Tuesday.

Officials from the north London club are said to have met with Cetinkaya over the weekend. They were in Lisbon for the Women's Champions League final on Saturday at Sporting's Jose Alvalade Stadium, where the Gunners beat Barcelona.

During their time in the Portuguese capital, those club officials reputedly presented an offer to Cetinkaya for Gyokeres. football.london understands Arsenal have a long-standing interest in the Sweden international, with their sporting director Andrea Berta thought to be a big fan of the striker.

Correio da Manha (via Sport Witness ) claims the Gunners are frontrunners to sign Gyokeres, albeit acknowledging that Bayern Munich have enquired for information about the striker. His agent is already said to have an official proposal to present to Sporting on Arsenal's behalf.

They claim the offer is worth circa €70million (£59m) in addition to a "target-based fee". The latter would presumably be a potential payment dependent on how Gyokeres and/or the team performs.

Further details about his proposed contract are also shared as they expect the striker to receive a €12million (£10m) signing bonus. It is purportedly a five-year deal, during which Gyokeres would earn €7million (£6 million) per season, around £110,000 a week.

The reputed expectation is that Cetinkaya will now present the offer from Arsenal to Sporting president Varandas. Correio da Manha reported on Tuesday morning that the two would meet "in the coming hours" after the latter had until now refused to do so, with their season having yet to end.

However, now that it has concluded by beating Benfica in the Portuguese Cup final on Sunday, a meeting is said to be scheduled. Cetinkaya runs the HCM Sports Management agency, with Gyokeres believed to be their only current client who plays for Sporting.
