Director of football Craig Cope is celebrating promotion from League Two with AFC Wimbledon a decade on from the agony of suffering the drop to non-league football.
The Dons defeated Walsall 1-0 at Wembley in Monday's play-off final thanks to Myles Hippolyte's goal in first-half stoppage time.
Cope was Cheltenham Town's analyst when they finished 23rd in League Two during the 2014/15 season, condemning them to relegation to the National League.
Since then, the 32-year-old has worked at Notts County, Birmingham City, Nottingham Forest and Solihull Moors, where he was technical director.
Cope joined Wimbledon in January 2023, initially as head of football operations, before officially becoming director of football in November 2024 - the youngest in such a role in the top four divisions of English football.
He had previously worked at the Spar convenience store in Stourport-on-Severn, studying for a degree in sports coaching and development at Worcester University.
