Liverpool have already had a whirlwind start to the summer transfer window, with reports suggesting that Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz are shortly set to join the Reds from Bayer Leverkusen - and their spending isn't set to stop there, with Arne Slot keen on reclaiming the Premier League title.
Frimpong is set to join for a fee of £30million to replace Real Madrid-bound Trent Alexander-Arnold, whilst Wirtz will add outstanding creativity to their front line. Milos Kerkez has also been touted to move from Bournemouth to transform their full-back ranks - and despite still being in May, fans have another three months of transfer rumours to look forward to.
Liverpool Should Hijack Chelsea Move for Hugo Ekitike
The Frenchman has the qualities to excel in their front line

A striker will be on the agenda, with Darwin Nunez widely expected to leave the club after failing to nail a starting spot under the Dutch boss over the past year, and although the likes of Joao Pedro have been linked in recent days, they would be best hijacking a move by one of their Champions League rivals - namely Chelsea's interest in Hugo Ekitike.
Alexander Isak was a top target for the Merseyside club, but with Newcastle United having qualified for the Champions League, the Swede is now set to stay at St. James' Park to flex his talents on the big stage on Tyneside, and Ekitike represents a similar profile who is genuinely available.

Sky Sports reporter Sacha Tavolieri claimed on Monday that Liverpool could now focus on Ekitike as a new top target for their soon-to-be-vacant No. 9 role once Nunez departs, and it would be a signing that makes a lot of sense.
Dubbed the 'next Kylian Mbappe', the young Frenchman didn't quite get a fair crack of the whip at Paris Saint-Germain after signing for them in 2022 - and having joined Frankfurt last February, he's burst onto the scene in Germany.
19 Bundesliga goals in just 44 league games is a remarkable tally, and with five goals in just five games for France's under-21 side, he's soon burst onto the scene to become one of the best young strikers in the world. At just 22 years old and standing at 6ft 3in, Ekitike has a similar profile to Nunez when the Uruguayan first moved to Liverpool, and hijacking Chelsea's move for him would be an ideal step.
Pedro would be a good signing in some regards, but Ekitike has a clinical edge to his game that Slot has missed down the spine of his Liverpool squad, instead relying on Mohamed Salah as his main goalscorer from the right-wing - and Ekitike's efforts in Germany have shown that he knows where the back of the net is.
A forward line of Luis Diaz, Salah and Ekitike would certainly strike fear into opposition defences, and with Wirtz, Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai supplying chances, he should be the final piece of the jigsaw for the future that would see Liverpool become the most feared outfit in the country for some time if he translates his Bundesliga form into the Premier League.
